The Brenda Novak Auction...

...is already gearing up for 2012. Held throughout the month of May, the auction is your chance to get your work in front of agents and editors, meet famous authors, purchase vacations, jewelry, autographed books, etc., and most importantly, to force other people to bid higher than they want to for stuff they want and you don't care about, so that they hate you forever. All while helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for diabetes research.

The auction site is here, if you'd like to preview the items that have been posted so far.

Evil Editor's editing services and other stuff have brought in about $12,000 over the past four years. This year I'll be offering the following:

Complete line edit of a FULL manuscript.

Complete line edit of your first 10,000 words.

Why You Don't Get Published
, volumes 1 and 2, signed.

Complete line edit of a FULL manuscript before the auction is over! (1-day auction)

My autographed 1st edition of Neil Gaiman's American Gods.

Plus other things I haven't thought up yet.

If there's something you wish I were offering, suggest it in the comments.

But are they signed Evil Editor, or with, yanno, your name? XD

Neither. They're signed "Alfredo Garcia."

Now I want to bid.

Ooh good question Buffy. Now I wonder . . . how much would people pay for a copy signed with your real name?

Why You Don't Get Published, volumes 1 and 2, signed.

While that's a generous and creative offer, may I just point out that signing is not necessary as deaf people can actually read.

Wouldn't say no to a few of the razor techniques you use to hone your muttonchops to perfection.
